I’ve always been a big fan of idol dramas since I was in my teens. Just to name a few, popular japanese series such as Tokyo Love Story, Ai Qing Bai Pi Shu, Say You Love Me, Cinderella Story, were big hits back then. J series were dubbed in mandarin, which I prefer coz it touches me more. Later on, taiwanese idol dramas followed their footsteps and came out with Meteor Garden as their debut. F4 became famous overnight. Actually, I watched MG only after it was being aired on channel 2. Isip ko, ang corny naman nila baket ginagaya ang jap series? Tsaka, baket si Barbie ang bida e laos na sya sa taiwan? After watching it, I have to take back my words coz apparently the series was really very very touching. One that will linger on your mind for a long time. Classic kung baga. So I love jap and taiwanese idol dramas. But why not Korean? Actually I’ve watched a couple of K series in the earlier years and I find the story line quite dragging most the time. Any series more than 20 episodes is already quite long for me (kaya nga dragging din ang MG2). And there weren’t much korean actors/actresses that time so sila sila lang din ang umiikot sa mga series. Thus, I don’t watch K series. I’m ok with Korean movies kasi kahit gano kadragging 2-2.5 hours lang naman yun. Anyways, this is just the beginning of what I intend to write in this blog. Hehe ang haba ng intro. I heard a lot about Full House from friends and praises that Rain was so good looking in the series etc etc. Nacurious naman ako. I tried surfing the channel to “kapuso” and watched for a few minutes. At first glance, hm.. ok.. He’s singkit, but may appeal naman. Pero BF was really surprised. Yan ba daw ang tawag sa guwapo??? E ang pangit niyan! Which I also didn’t object kasi nga singkit talaga niya sobra. After some time, a friend lend me the VCD of that series. She insisted that I should watch it kasi maganda talaga. I just said ok but I usually don’t watch K series nga. So, I basically just brought the VCDs home to accumulate dust. Finally last week, I decided to return the VCDs to my friend without watching it. Tinatamad kasi ako manood. So I brought the VCDs to the office and was prepared to return them to my friend when I meet her. Tapos exactly that day, our network connection in the office was down. No network, no work, and no surfing. Wala na akong magawa. Lahat ng puwedeng kalikutin dito sa PC ko kinalikut ko na. Bored na ako. Then out of the blue, I remembered I brought the Full House VCDs. So isip ko, sige na nga silipin ko lang bago ko isauli. Hehe.. I was hooked since then. Not only was the series touching, it was at the same time light, bubbly, funny, and cute. I wouldn’t change what I thought about Rain coz he’s not really the guwapo type for me. Although I was a bit surprised kasi he’s so sexy and tall pala. Ok.. I think enough na yun to complement his looks. HEHE (no offense to his fans). What hit me the most was his character in the series – Lee Young Jae. Especially how he’s trying to hide his true self na sensitive, shy, and not expressive at all with his feelings for the girl he likes. And another was the chemistry between his character and her leading lady’s character (Han Ji-eun). Grabe, I can’t stop myself from crying and laughing and feeling *kilig*. Oh anyways, I think people who watched Full House will know what I’m trying to say right now. Click here to see the synopsis of the story. Here are a few scenes that I like the most: 1. when YJ and JE went for honeymoon 2. scenes when JE started to get along with YJ’s family esp. yun scenes na grandma’s head was hit several times bec JE was trying to carry her. 3. scenes when JE started to get affected with YJ getting home late at night. 4. When YJ opted to go with Hyu-won after the premiere and left his wife JE alone. 5. When YJ started to feel concerns for JE but not admitting it. 6. When YJ sings and dances the 3 bears song for JE when she’s angry. Esp the american version! funny talaga 7. When JE admitted he love YJ for the first time. 8. When YJ told JE they can’t live together anymore after JE’s confession. 9. The first time JE asked for a divorce from YJ and he felt hurt. Grabe his tears were actually rolling. Pero he still doesn’t want to admit that he’s in love with her. 10. When JE asked YJ not to divorce anymore (for the fear of affecting his acting career). 11. When JE asked for a divorce for the 2nd time. 12. YJ admitting his feelings for JE and chases her sa airport. 13. When YJ finally gives JE a divorce and he announces to the world how much he’s in love with her through press conference. SUPER!!! 14. YJ went back to his hotel room and had flashbacks of how happy he was with JE in full house. He was laughing and crying at the same time. SUPER MEGA TO THE MAX!!! 15. YJ decided to propose to JE 16. The camping scene when JE finally accepted YJ again. And also the following morning YJ was too shy and can’t even look straight at JE. 17. When they try to cheer each other up by saying.. "AJA AJA FIGHTING!" 18. Amazing Land and Ice skating scenes. Pardon me from go on and on… fresh and kilig pa kasi ako from the series so I can’t help myself! Hehe.. For those who haven’t watch it yet, better grab a copy and watch it!! I was thankful for having no network connection last week, for brining the VCDs to the office, and for deciding to take a look at the VCDs. Buti nalang I haven’t returned them yet or else.. ang laki ng mamimiss ko.

P.S. so, nagbago na ba ang pagtingin ko sa mga koreanovelas? Mukhang hindi pa rin. Pero Full House is an exception to the rule.
