..::* Shoe freak *::..

Last weekend, I was determined to clean-up my room no matter how much I wanted to lay in bed all day. Well, I did, but didn’t finish cleaning the entire room.. hehe.. simply too much trash. I focused mainly on the pile of shoe boxes and I realized: "30+ pairs of shoes! My God, that’s a lot." Of course, not all of them are in top shape anymore. In fact, there were some that I barely wore. They were just forgotten when newer shoes comes in. Sayang. But as much as I would like to keep them all, I realized that I might never wear some of the shoes anymore. Like those that once hurt my feet and those that are almost worned out. Some were gifts that were never worn. Instead of keeping them, I decided to give them away. Para hindi masayang. So I ended up giving away almost half of my shoes. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Wanda’s 6 commandments on buying shoes:

  1. When I’m down and feels really sad, buying a pair of shoes will surely make me feel better. :p
  2. Shoes should match the color of bags. No brown bags on black shoes… Recent favorite - pink/chocolate shoes. (haven’t bought any though… left brain is still debating with the right brain!)
  3. Thou shall not miss the opportunity to buy shoes when visiting other countries. It doubles as souvenier!
  4. Every pair of shoes is worth it when it’s on sale.
  5. You need shoes for all occassions! formal, office, casual, sports, kikay shoes… etc etc.
  6. Ideally, I just wanna try out at least one pair of shoes per brand. yikes!

Well, I guess I really need to control the urge to splurge on shoes so that I don’t waste my hard-earned money. So I thought of making a shoe inventory to remind me of the shoes that I already have. It’s simple. I just piled up the shoe boxes in one vertical line. Then stick the pictures of the shoes on their respective boxes so that it’ll be easier for me to scan through my shoe collection. hehe.. of course, no shoe number/codes! hehe not that OC yet.
